August is done with and fall is upon us with lots to look forward to.
Here are a few highlights:

- Our show at the Plaza Theatre in Orlando, Friday September 10 with Jacob Jeffries opening. Tickets are just $9 in advance, so hustle on over to the website and get yours now. The Plaza is doing a 4- camera hi def video shoot with an audio feed so if all goes well, we may have a DVD available before too long. Boo-yah! I really would love to have a full house for the show so, dear Orlando friends, please share the word for me! Here’s the Facebook Event.

- A gig with our pals the subdudes at Skippers Smokehouse on Saturday, September 18. It’ll be great to see them again and I hope to see all my Tampa friends there too!

- Spain in October- Ole!!!

- Rock For Hunger Fest at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando on November 6 with Keller Williams, The Lee Boys, Zach Deputy and many more.
Great music for an even greater cause!

- The Southwest Florida Blues Festival in Cape Coral on Nov. 20 with Guitar Shorty, Nick Moss & The Fliptops and my new favorite Louisiana group, Honey Island Swamp Band. Look out South Florida!!

People have been asking when they can expect to buy a CD with the new songs we’ve been playing– we’ve officially decided to record the first 2 weeks of December so stay tuned- it won’t be long!

Friday August 20, we’ll be on the bill at the Plaza Theatre with Tab Benoit and on Sept. 10 we’ll headline at the Plaza. Buy your tickets now!

We’re gearing up for our trek to Lexington KY to perform on Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour Aug. 16. We’ll be appearing with Cajun-Creole artist and Grammy nominee Cedric Watson for a show billed as a “Celebration of Music from America’s Gulf Region.” The Gulf of Mexico is very precious to me and it’s waters and their fruits (SHRIMP & OYSTERS) have brought me much pleasure throughout my lifetime. The Gulf Coast Preservation Society is working hard to counteract the damage done by the oil spill. Please take a moment to read about their work.

On the way to Lexington we’ll stop over in Knoxville, TN to play the WDVX Daily Blue Plate Special on Friday August 13 and then at Barley’s Taproom that night. Many thanks to my childhood friend and stellar musician Tim Lee for facilitating the Knoxville events. I hope he’ll sit in with us for a few tunes at Barley’s.

Once we get home we’ll be busier than ever with opening dates for Tab Benoit and the subdudes and our own headlining show at The Plaza Theatre in Orlando on Sept. 10.

In between all of that we are recording our next album and I’m thrilled with the songs we have written for it. It is going to be infused with gospel, blues, rock, country and soul with a little bit of hillbilly on the side. Of course the Louisiana flavor will be imminent, as always. My husband and partner in music, Juan Perez, is playing some drum tracks that just won’t be denied and this album will be a groover, make no mistake about that.
